Due to the high turmoil that the news had internationally, years later James Haven himself came out to clarify what happened. He explained that the kiss was something clean and beautiful between the two of them, and that nothing else had happened. Angelina Jolie did the same and also declared that it was in very bad taste to interpret the situation in another way. Both brothers became very close when their parents separated and went to live with their mother, where they later had to face together the ovarian cancer disease that affected her mother and led to her sudden death.
