A gold statue of Trump made in Mexico, the other star of the Conservative Conference
Artwork by artist Tommy Zegan is for sale for $100,000
Along with that of the flesh and blood Donald Trump, the most persecuted image these days at the Orlando Conservative Conference (CPAC) is a gold-colored statue of the former president with which attendees have not stopped taking photos. The curious sculpture is the work of Tommy Zegan, an artist and Trump supporter who, according to US media, considered that the figures that had been made of him until now did not do him justice.
His creation consists of a recreation of the former president in a style reminiscent of comics. He wears flip flops and wears a jacket, tie and shorts with the stars and stripes of the US flag. In his left hand he holds a magic wand and, in fact, the composition is titled «Trump and his magic wand ».
However, critics of the former White House tenant have mocked her on the internet calling her a new "golden calf", due to the idolatry professed by her followers. Zegan has replied: "It's not an idol, it's a statue."
It is made with a fiberglass mold and then covered with gold paint. It was assembled in Mexico and colored in Tampa (Florida). It has been put up for sale at the conservative event itself at a price of $100,000.
Donald Trump reappeared this Sunday after leaving the White House at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), a forum through which his son Donald Trump Jr. has passed in recent days, among others. , former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo or Senator Ted Cruz.
For the first time since this forum began in 1974, it has been moved outside of the Washington DC area. The chosen place, Florida, has become a fiefdom of 'trumpism'. While in other states where he had won in 2016 he lost in the last elections, there Trump won in the last elections with an even greater margin.
