Amber Heard reveals how complicated it is to play Mera
Playing Mera from DC Comics is no easy feat, and Amber Heard has revealed why.
We have recently been able to see Amber Heard in the version of Zack Snyder's Justice League that has been released on HBO Max. She has a couple of scenes where she highlights her confrontation with Steppenwolf. But also, at the end of the movie, she is revealed to be one of the few survivors in Batman's apocalyptic nightmare. That moment that she shares with the Dark Knight, The Joker, Cyborg, The Flash and Deathstroke was recently shot for inclusion in this version.
Now, Amber Heard wants us to know the difficulties she went through playing Mera and shows us a funny video where we can see her in her tight suit and check out the problems she has sitting down, wobbling awkwardly and laughing while hitting things. Since she is unable to bend her legs properly.
We have been able to see her with different costumes in the DC Comics movies.
Judging by the outfit she wears, this video of Amber Heard was shot during Zack Snyder's Justice League reshoots. Which would mean that the limitations of the suit make sense. After all, if she's just shooting one scene, she doesn't have to be very flexible. So probably Mera's suits used in Aquaman allow her to move much more naturally, though her downside is that they're not as ornate. But above all it shows that they did not use CGI to recreate her appearance. Something very fashionable lately.
Filming on Aquaman 2 is expected to begin imminently, so it's likely that Amber Heard is getting ready to slip into another skintight, scaly suit. Although the safest thing is that she can move better.
