Keanu Reeves confirmed that he has been married to Winona Ryder for 30 years
The actor assured at least they are "in the eyes of God."
Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder could be one of the oldest "marriages" in Hollywood. It is that Reeves returned to talk that he and Ryder are married by real priests who officiated the wedding scene performed in Romania for the 1992 drama directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Bram Stoker's Dracula.
"We did a full shot of a marriage ceremony with real priests," Reeves said in a video for Esquire magazine. “Winona says we're married. Coppola says we are. So I guess we're married... in the eyes of God," continued the renowned actor.
In 2018, the two actors spoke to Entertainment Weekly while promoting their romantic comedy Destination Wedding, and Ryder said that she considered herself married to her colleague. "In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] used a real Romanian priest," she said. "We put 'record' and he did everything. So I think we're married." Additionally, the actress reminded Keanu that they had gone through the entire ceremony, even saying "I do."
"Don't you remember that?" The Stranger Things actress asked the protagonist of the Matrix saga. "It was Valentine's Day," she added, laughing. "Oh my gosh, we're married," Reeves replied, jokingly.

Keanu Reeves could be legally married to Winona Ryder
Bravo TV notes that while Winona Ryder once said that she never wanted to get married, she may actually be legally married to Keanu Reeves. The publication notes that the actors co-starred in a movie in the early '90s titled The Guardian. Their characters in the film were married, but it may have been a lot more real than any of them anticipated, as they got a real priest to perform the ceremony. This means that they may have been married since 1992.
Reeves and Ryder clearly take it all as a joke, but Reeves also added that Ryder will text him 'Hi, Husband' from time to time. "I really didn't believe her, and then Francis Ford Coppola, the director of Dracula, contacted Winona and said publicly that, yes, that really happened, the priest did a whole ceremony, and Winona and I got married," Reeves added. Unfortunately for fans who love these two actors, it doesn't seem like they're actually in love.
He dated actress Jennifer Syme in 1998 and was expecting a baby with her.
Aside from the Ryder fluke, it looks like Reeves isn't married today. And his last serious relationship fans heard of was in the late '90s and early 2000s. People remind us the actor was dating fellow actress Jen Syme around the time The Matrix came out. The two met at a party in 1998 and were later expecting a baby together in 2000.
Unfortunately, tragedy struck in January 2000. Syme was 8 months pregnant when she gave birth to a stillborn baby. This apparently put a lot of strain on her relationship with Reeves, causing her to break up. The two remained friends until Syme's death. On April 2, 2000, Syme lost control of her Jeep and was in a serious car accident that involved her being thrown from the car and killed instantly. According to People, Syme may have had trouble dealing with her recent losses, as she found her prescription antidepressants and 'a white powdery substance' in the car as well.
Fans now want him to hang out with Sandra Bullock
With almost 20 years since the birth of his daughter and the passing of his ex-girlfriend, fans may suspect that Reeves has had a few other relationships outside of the media spotlight, but we're not so sure. What we do know, however, is that he had a crush on Sandra Bullock when they co-starred in the 1994 movie Speed. Reeves was recently a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and DeGeneres showed him a clip of Bullock talking about how 'sweet' and 'handsome' he was. Bullock never thought the love would be reciprocated, but Reeves made it clear to DeGeneres that he, too, was in love with Bullock at the time.
Bullock may be in a serious relationship right now, but that hasn't stopped fans from hoping the two will team up. “I screamed when Keanu said that he had a crush on her too. Aaaaah!!!!! ' a fan commented on the YouTube clip. Another added: 'Keanu and Sandra would have been the cutest couple in the world.'
