Dakota Johnson almost lost her top on live television and now she's here to talk about it.
The 26-year-old 50 Shades of Grey star let had an unexpectedly awkward run-in with her co-star Leslie Mann earlier this month when she got up on stage to accept the 2016 People's Choice Award for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress.
"I hadn't seen her in awhile, so I hugged her," said Johnson during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, recollecting those fateful moments before she nearly came unhooked.
"I hugged Leslie and then my dress broke and it was a two-piece, so my top almost fell off," she explained.
"That would have been a People's Choice," quipped Seth Meyers.
While she inevitably escaped fully-clothed, the How To Be Single actress is thankfully no stranger to nudity since starring in the film adaptation of the BDSM trilogy and played on that well-known fact in front of the live audience. "Well, it's not like nobody here hasn't already seen my " she improvised before launching into her acceptance speech.
Johnson isn't all too shy about her word choice, either. "I said the word on live television—I just did it again," she joked to Meyers.
"When Dakota shows up, we feel like we survived if the worst of anything was said was ," Meyers assured her.
