Bella Hadid's see-through dresses Dress is an Edgy Tribute to Kate Moss
The model donned her second sheer look of the night at the Met Gala afterparty.
One sheer look was not enough for Bella Hadid last night. After donning a nearly n*k*d (and beaded) catsuit by Alexander Wang on the Met Gala red carpet, the model went even sheerer for the afterparty with another look by the designer.
The 20 year old arrived to 1Oak in New York City in a chainmail tank dress by Wang, decorated with long black beads for a subtle flapper effect. The hemline consisted of a velvet strip and more beaded netting. The look turned heads for Hadid, since she wore nothing but black briefs underneath.
Although she's apt to free the nipple, Hadid refrained this time and covered up with simple black strips of body tape. Other accessories included clear studded stilettos, a box chain bracelet and a crystal drawstring bag by the designer.
The look was reminiscent of a similarly shocking model wardrobe moment, sported by Kate Moss in 1993. Her original iteration was simpler and sheerer, with nothing but a metallic—but nonetheless transparent—slip dress draped over her black undies and flip flops. Twenty-four years later, Hadid continues to prove that models-of-the-moment do sheer dresses best. Her beaded embellishments makeshift pasties just gave the look and edgy, modern update.
