Since they began dating late last year, Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson have only been photographed together a handful of times. But on the occasions that they have appeared together in public, their couple style has always been complementary.
Yesterday, for instance, the two musicians grabbed lunch in Malibu in a pair of effortless matchy-matchy outfits. Both sported all-black looks—dark jeans and a casual top (a tank for Cyrus and a Harley-Davidson tee for her beau). They also wore layered necklaces and black sunglasses.
It was a more subdued look than what we saw from the couple last month when they showed up at a farmer’s market in Calabasas. On that earlier outing, Cyrus wore a Led Zeppelin tee with a blazer, while Simpson matched her navy top with a zip-up bomber in the same color (complete with a white tee, jeans, and heeled boots). It seems every time Cyrus wears one of her signature rocker-inspired outfits, Simpson has just the right look to go with it. Which brings up the question: Is Cyrus secretly styling her man behind the scenes?
Their ongoing fashion coordination could just be happening naturally. Famous pairs such as the Biebers and Nickyanka have united their sense of style over time. But there’s something especially bang-on about the way Cyrus and Simpson have been dressing together—as though their closets have been combined into one space, and they’re now borrowing pieces from each other. And if that’s the case, it’s proof that, when it comes to couple style, sharing is more than just caring—it can look real cute when done right, too.
