Jennifer Lawrence: "I Never Had an Affair with Chris Pratt on Passengers"

The actress just addressed those infamous cheating rumors involving her costar.

Jennifer Lawrence is no stranger to the Hollywood rumor mill, but she's often quick to confidently take a stand, shutting down any false speculations regarding her personal life. One piece of gossip the A-list actress couldn't seem to shake? Her rumored love affair with Passengers costar Chris Pratt, who was married to Anna Faris at the time of filming but got divorced in December 2017.

Because people couldn't stop talking about the possible "couple," Lawrence is setting the record straight once and for all: the on-screen lovers have always kept it 100 percent platonic.

For context, back in 2016, headlines circulated claiming that Lawrence and Pratt had an on-set love affair, while he was still married to Faris. The rumors died down momentarily, but were revived in a big way in August of 2017, when Pratt and Faris announced their separation, which online trolls alleged was due to the Lawrence and Pratt "affair."

Lawrence is clearly still taking media heat for the supposed relationship, and has just spoken out, adamantly denying any kind of sneaky relationship.

"I never had an affair with Chris Pratt on Passengers," the Red Sparrow actress said in a recent interview with KISS FM. "That’s a good one. I mean they got a divorce like two years later and everybody was like, 'Jennifer Lawrence!' And I was like, 'What the…what I’m in Montreal two years later.'"

Faris previously addressed the cheating rumors while she and Pratt were still together, revealing that the rumors made her "feel insecure," but that Lawrence "hadn't done anything wrong."

"I’d always taken pride in our relationship, and the coverage, even though it was just false rumors, was making me feel insecure," Faris wrote in her memoir Unqualified.

"Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn’t need to be, because she hadn’t done anything wrong," Faris continued. "She’s awesome, but of course it’s hurtful and also embarrassing when people are saying your husband is cheating on you—even if it’s patently untrue. You still feel, and look, like a fool. But that's something I have had to learn to handle in stride."

For all involved, we're hoping that J.Law's statement has finally put this fabricated love story to rest.
