The actress wore a sheer Thierry Mugler dress and an embellished thong
Nothing commands the attention of the internet quite like an iconic red carpet look, and Megan Fox was adamant about giving fans plenty to talk about at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.
The actress arrived at the award ceremony with one of the most daring looks of the night; a completely transparent Thierry Mugler dress in the color of the skin and a dazzling thong.
She paired her calf-length dress, embellished with lines of rhinestones, with gold Jimmy Choo peep-toe heels.
The choice of underwear is essential for a transparent look. Fox opted for a diamond embellished thong that perfectly complemented the details of her dress.
To complete her look, her black hair was styled in loose, wet-looking curls.
Unsurprisingly, fans rushed to Twitter to praise her looks. “Megan Fox at the VMAs is what you NEED to see right now,” one person tweeted. Another wrote: "Megan Fox and Mugler are truly an iconic duo."

Some were less impressed, comparing Fox's outfit and hair to Kim Kardashian's appearance at the 2019 Met Gala, when the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star also wore a n*de Mugler dress paired with wet hair.

"Love me some Megan Fox but she just copied @KimKardashian's Met Gala look from a few years ago," one fan wrote.
Others noted that Fox's look was reminiscent of Rose McGowan's see-through dress from the 1998 VMAs.

The event marked the last red carpet appearance for Fox and her partner, singer Machine Gun Kelly, who have been dating since May 2020.
Kelly also opted for a bold look for the awards show, arriving in a metallic red Dolce & Gabbana suit, with a matching red shirt. She finished her look with a pair of black patent leather dress shoes.
Sunday's award show isn't the only time Fox has walked the red carpet at Mugler in recent months.
