Miley Cyrus: the great queen of the return of Lollapalooza Argentina
Miley exceeded the wide expectations with a show that captivated the crowd (Photo Julián Álvarez) After a forced silence of three years due to the coronavirus pandemic, Lollapalooza Argentina finally returned this Friday with a first day, at the San Isidro Racecourse, in marked predominance of urban rhythms in its grid, but nevertheless found its great queen in the pop diva Miley Cyrus.
There is no doubt that Wos shone again with his impressive set, that Duki concentrated a crowd in his presentation, that the New Yorker A$ap Rocky displayed an incendiary rap and that Bizarrap made the crowd dance at the closing of the night with his great hits viralized.
But it was the great star since her days as a Disney girl who exceeded the wide expectations with a show that captivated the crowd that filled the venue and confirmed her as a modern song diva.
Miley Cyrus honored her country musical tradition with her danceable pop crossed by rock, country and gospel, among other styles; but she also did it with an overwhelming handling of the stage, absolute naturalness and without demagoguery.

On her show there were revisits to Pixies with “Where is my mind?”, Blondie with “Heart of glass”, Cher with “Bang Bang (My baby shot me down) and Dolly Parton with“ Jolene ”; and her own classics like “Plastic heart”, “Midnight sky” or “Wrecking ball”, among many others.
And there were also some altruistic messages such as her plea for "fighting for what is believed to be fair" although "always in peace and from love and understanding"; or proudly show off the colored flag that symbolizes sexual diversity that was thrown at him from the public.
In this way, Miley Cyrus stood out on a day that, although she had her exceptions with the rockers Airbag and the punk pop A Day To Remember, had a great predominance of urban rhythms.
The first great performance of this return was offered by Wos when she was in the middle of the afternoon, with a powerful show of varied climates.

Accompanied by his superb and established band, capable of displaying great versatility from his rock character -perhaps “Crystal Wall” was the best proof of this-, the artist who does not stop growing displayed a brilliant set in which many were not lacking. of his great successes such as “Púrpura”, “Caravana” and “Luz Crime”.
The rapper, visibly moved by the great response from the public, also had Acru as a guest at the time of the freestyle moment and with Ca7riel in “Niño Gordo Flaco”.
In this context, Wos naturally strolled through rap, but also made stops at funk, rock, ballads and even some folk sounds.
Proof of the phenomenon that this artist represents is that, an hour ago, at Kidzapalooza, the stage set up for the youngest, in the middle of the performance of the popular band Los Raviolis, its charismatic leader Gabichu asked between songs: “ What time is it Wos? Let's hurry up so we get to see it."
At the end of the Wos set, on another of the stages, Duki also contributed his own with an impressive presentation from the visual point of view and celebrated from the musical point of view, according to the great interest shown by the public.

In the first hours of the day, Rosario Ortega, Louta, Natalie Pérez and La Joaqui had passed through different stages, who threw red thongs to the public and celebrated the arrival of cumbia 420 at the festival.
Towards night, before Miley Cyrus, the New York rapper A$ap Rocky passed through the festival with a bombastic staging of large and colorful graphics, smoke-spewing machines and flames of fire; and a radicalized style through which racial conflicts, violence, love and even some cliché of the genre paraded.

But the return of the festival was not given only by the interesting grid, but also by the different experiences displayed by the huge venue, such as Las Casitas, small closed spaces with DJs where you can listen to electronic music and dance; the gastronomic patios; a great trip around the world like in amusement parks and a colorful inflatable work by Marta Minujín.
Although the rains registered until the early hours of the afternoon left large spaces with mud in the style of a modest Woodstock, this mattered little to the groups of adolescents who did not deprive themselves of the brightness and colors in their clothes, nor of the paintings in their faces.

The festival continues this Saturday with The Strokes as a great attraction and the peculiarity of seeing the Argentine rock legend Litto Nebbia for the first time, among other things.
