Princess Diana was not only a style reference on the most formal occasions, her fashion sense also went until summer, her favorite season.
At public events and grand gala nights, Princess Diana always made us love her 'looks', as well as her innate talent for dressing and her passion for fashion. But it is her summer outfits that give us a whole range of inspiration, even decades later.
In these more casual settings, in a bathing suit, in complete relaxation on the beach with hers, her two children Harry and Guillermo, it was when Princess Diana brought out the freshest and most authentic combinations. Especially on her yacht excursions, or when swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. There we could see Lady Di even in tennis shoes.
What was Lady Di's style for the summer?
Seeing these curious images of Lady Di enjoying her vacation is really pleasant, obviously, Princess Diana was wearing key pieces from the 80s and 90s, which nevertheless look very current. One-piece swimsuits have always been hers, especially those in fluo tones and contrasting prints.
Lady Di was a fan of prints and she had no limits when it came to wearing them. She sometimes dared with the 'animal print' and then suddenly returned to the romantic with a floral print in pastel tones.
When she wore a bikini, on the other hand, she opted for a more classic version, in coral tones, very popular at that time. But she also impressed with a knotted two-piece model, in bright colors. And to complete her beach 'looks' she added matching sarongs or very simple shorts.
