Reese Witherspoon's daring roles as she turns 45 – rollercoaster orgasm to alley romp

Reese Witherspoon went from girl-next-door roles to being an Academy Award winner with serious acting chops – but she's also been happy getting saucy on the camera throughout her career

Many fans will remember her playing the famously ditzy socialite Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde movies, of which a third instalment will be released in May next year.

But now Reese is one of the highest-paid actresses in the world having risen phoenix-like up the A-list ladder.

The 45-year-old is a two-time Golden Globe award winner and a Primetime Emmy Award winner.

But you’d be forgiven if you didn’t readily associate the 45-year-old Academy Award-winning actress with daring scenes.

However during her lengthy career, Reese has got down and dirty in a number of movies and has stripped completely down to her birthday suit.

But in 2014 she confessed she was going completely bare in another way, as she appeared on camera without makeup for the first time.

As she turns 45 today (March 22), Daily Star takes a look back at some of her most provocative roles.

While Legally Blonde doesn't feature any raunchy action, it does see Reese in her most famous role as Elle Woods.

In Elle's video essay to get into Harvard, she speaks to the camera from the pool in a range of super hot swimsuits.

At one point, a birds-eye view shot sees her floating across the pool in a lime green bikini covered in sequins on an inflatable floatie.

Twilight (1998)

Reese starred as Mel Ames in crime drama Twilight, which also starred the likes of Paul Newman and Susan Sarandon.

In it, Reese gets up close and personal with a fresh-faced Liev Schreiber (who played Jeff Willis) in one notable bedroom scene after the pair had been frolicking by the pool.

The movie was one of Reese’s very early roles, after she first broke into acting seven years previously in The Man in the Moon.
