Sharon Vonne Stone, popularly known as Sharon Stone, was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania, USA on March 10, 1958. While studying at the University of Pennsylvania, Sharon won the title of Miss Crawford County and was a of the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant candidates. In 1977 she moved to New Jersey to try her luck as a model.
Two years later she travels through Europe, deciding then to abandon her successful career as a model and start a new one as an actress. She appears in a small non-speaking role in Woody Allen's 1980 film 'Stardust Memories' and a year later she has a more prominent performance in Wes Craven's horror film 'Deadly Blessing' (1981). This 2021 she has published the book 'In the Beauty of Living Twice', in which she recounts her efforts to rebuild her life after the serious health problem she suffered in 2001. The actress is now very active in the fight against AIDS, in for peace in the Middle East and participates in different charitable foundations.
