Sharon Vonne Stone, popularly known as Sharon Stone, was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania, USA on March 10, 1958. While studying at the University of Pennsylvania, Sharon won the title of Miss Crawford County and was a of the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant candidates. In 1977 she moved to New Jersey to try her luck as a model.


Two years later she travels through Europe, deciding then to abandon her successful career as a model and start a new one as an actress.
