The stunning actress of Modern family Sofía Vergara starred in one of the most controversial moments of the 2014 Emmy gala. The Colombian acted as a female object in a joke that viewers did not like.
Sofía Vergara introduced the president of the United States Television Academy, Bruce Rosenblum, who was going to deliver the institutional speech at the annual television awards gala, traditionally serious and boring.
The Colombian got on a rotating pedestal, in which she exhibited her spectacular anatomy, while Rosenblum addressed the public in the background with comments such as "we cannot forget that our success is based on always giving the viewer something to see" .
The staging immediately generated thousands of critical comments on social networks, where most of them described the show as sexist.
The Latin actress, aware of the controversy, defended her number before the press at the end of the gala. "A person can be attractive, funny and laugh at themselves," she declared Vergara.
