The image of Angelina Jolie with her body full of bees for which she has been 3 days without showering
Angelina Jolie has starred in an image where she appears with her body full of bees to raise awareness about protecting the population from these insects.
Angelina Jolie is one of the most conscientious actresses for the environment and the care of the society in which we live. Thus, the interpreter has been named as "godmother" of Women for Bees, a program launched by UNESCO of the United Nations to support enterprising beekeepers around the world.
In this way, Angelina wanted to star in some impressive and beautiful images taken by photographer Dan Winters for National Geographic for World Bee Day to raise awareness about the protection of these insects.
Thus, Jolie appears full of bees as they travel all over her body: "With so much that worries us in the world and so many people who feel overwhelmed by the bad news and the reality of what is collapsing, this is one that we can handle" , the actress tells the magazine. "Certainly we can all step in and do our part," she says.
"I don't think a lot of people realize the damage they're doing. A lot of them are just trying to get through the day," she adds. "They want to do good. They don't want to be destructive. They don't know what to buy. They don't know what to wear. So I think part of it is wanting to help make it simple for everyone, because I need it," she adds.
He then explains that taking care of bees, or the environment, is something that every father or mother can do as a family and, furthermore, it is for the benefit of their children to leave them a better country: "I have six children and many things are happening. No I know how to be 'perfect' at nothing. So if we can help each other to say, 'This is a way to go, simple, and this is something you can do with your kids.'"
Angelina Jolie went three days without showering to take a photo with the bees
Angelina Jolie has spoken about how she took the photo with the bees, something for which she had to go three days without showering: "We couldn't shower for three days before. Because they told me: 'If you have all these different scents, shampoos and perfumes and stuff, the bee doesn't know what you are'... Then you put something in your nose and ears to not give them as many holes to climb."
"I had one go under my dress the whole time. It was like one of those old sitcoms," she explains. "I was feeling it on my knee, on my leg, and then I thought, 'Oh, this is the worst place to get stung. It's getting really close.' It stayed there the whole time we were doing the shoot. And then when I took off all the other bees, I lifted her skirt and she left.
"It was lovely to be connected with these beautiful creatures," she recalls of the photo shoot. "You have to be really still in your body, in the moment, which is not easy for me," she says. "I think part of the thinking behind it was that this creature is seen as dangerous at times or itchy. So how can we be with it? The intention is that we share this planet. It affects each other. I felt very honored and very lucky to have the experience.
