Geena Davis was born on January 21, 1956 in Massachusetts. The young woman initially intended for a career as a musician and learned to play the organ in the parish of her hometown. However, she began training as an actress and graduated from Boston University in 1979. The pretty brunette signed many modeling contracts in order to support herself when she embarked on the casting race.
In 1988, Tim Burton revealed her to the general public in Beetlejuice and Geena went on to play roles on the big screen. The same year, she received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Accidental Tourist. But the actress was not really consecrated until 1991 when she landed a major role in the cult film Thelma & Louise. In 2012, Geena Davis appeared in the hit medical series Grey's Anatomy.
On the private side, after a first marriage with Richard Emmolo (1982-1983), the actress marries the actor Jeff Goldblum (1987-1990). She then remarried to director Renny Harlin (1993–1998). In September 2001, she married cosmetic surgeon Reza Jarrahy, with whom she had three children; Alizeh born April 10, 2002 and twins Kian and Kaiis born May 6, 2004. In May 2018, Reza Jarrahy filed for divorce.
