And the same goes for the suave George Clooney. Admit it, aren't you curious what that role might be? With dozens of great performances to his name, the likable salt-and-pepper-haired leading man shouldn't lose any sleep over any of his film choices (perhaps fewer on-set jokes wouldn't hurt). Breaking into stardom as the rebellious pediatrician Doug Ross in the medical drama ER, Clooney has lit up the screen in everything from the recession drama Up in the Air to the bankable Oceans movies. And there's a lot to love in the movie, too. He has worked with the Coen Brothers on the acclaimed film Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? and smaller gems like Out of Sight with Jennifer Lopez. Basically, Clooney makes good choices when it comes to movies. In terms of his personal life, Clooney he apparently has a solid, charity-focused marriage and life with Amal Clooney.

So what is the movie that George Clooney regrets making, even though he now has a positive outlook on it? That would be Joel Schumacher's Batman and Robin. Released in 1997 as the third film in the 1990s Batman trilogy with Michael Keaton at the helm, Clooney took on that lead role, and unfortunately, the film is mostly known as a cinematic disaster today. Not only does it have an 11 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, but it's infamously associated with... giving the Batman costume... nipples.
"Now the obvious answer to your question would be to joke around, Batman and Robin," Clooney told The Guardian on December 13, 2020. "And I wouldn't do that at all." Although the film was a flop, it was apparently an important lesson for the star in choosing film roles knowing that his name will always be associated with them. "I've learned that if you're going to be responsible for a movie, instead of just being an actor in that movie, you better pick better movies," he told the outlet.
