In 1992, Sharon Stone starred in one of the most famous scenes in the history of cinema at the end of the 20th century: a sensual crossing of legs during a police interrogation in which she showed more than what the audience was used to seeing. Now the 61-year-old American actress recreated the scene from the movie "Basic Instinct."
The interpreter participated in the gala of the GQ magazine awards, which took place in Berlin. Stone received the Woman of the Year award. Sitting on stage in front of the audience, wearing a short, low-cut dress, the sixty-year-old actress repeated the crossing - uncrossing - crossing of legs from the film.
Stone attended the gala with her 19-year-old son Roan, who was in the audience, and explained that that scene from "Basic Instinct" changed her life forever.
"The time has come for you to decide who you are. It is time to decide what you are going to do with the most tender, important, beautiful, wild, passionate and important part of yourself. What are you going to do with it?" the actress to those present.
Stone also insinuated that the film's director, Paul Verhoeven, cheated on her during the filming of the mythical scene. "I was sitting on the set and my director said, 'Can you pass me your panties? It's because they show on the scene and you shouldn't be wearing them. But we won't see anything.' And I said sure."
In the year of its release, the erotic thriller starring Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas became the fourth highest-grossing film in the US. As for the Catherine Tramell interrogation scene, it is considered one of the moments most leisurely in the history of cinema.
