Anna Kendrick says her first movie k-i-s-s was "creepy"
We can always count on our girl Anna Kendrick to keep it real about pretty much everything, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that she was brutally honest about her first on-screen k-i-s-s and why she felt, in her words, “creepy” about it.
In an interview with E! News, Anna spilled the beans on a few of her Hollywood firsts, from her first audition to what she wore on her first red carpet (she’s now a fashion icon, but back then, she was all about the flared jeans, quipping, “flared jeans… what a mess!” Hey, her words, not ours!) and in true Anna fashion, she was hilarious about it.
Anna had her first on-screen smooch in only her second movie, a coming-of-age drama called Rocket Science, when she was 19. Her character, Ginny, k-i-s-s-e-d a boy named Hal, who was played by actor Reece Thompson.
Of the k-i-s-s, Anna says, "I k-i-s-s-e-d a boy who was 15 or 16, so I felt pretty creepy."
We’re sure he didn’t see it that way, but it’s good to know that even a mega-star like Anna Kendrick still has awkward k-i-s-s-i-n-g memories just like we all do. Check out the clip of her dishing on her first movie k-i-s-s and more here.
And check out a clip of baby Anna in the movie — how cute is she!
