Christina Hendricks shows off her c-u-r-v-e-s in n@ked scenes filmed before she was famous
As Mad Men's Joan Holloway her hourglass c-u-r-v-e-s have caused a sensation in her tight Sixties dresses.
But her fans have only been able to fantasise about what lies beneath Christina Hendricks' costumes.
Now images have been unearthed of Christina in the short-lived U.S. sci-fi series Firefly from 2002, in which viewers got to see a lot more of her famous figure.
The then unknown Christina played seductive con woman Saffron, who shared a n@ked k-i-s-s with Captain Malcolm Reynolds on their wedding night.
The shots show the 35-year-old topless in bed, waiting for her new husband.
She then drops the sheets as she approaches him, sharing a passionate kiss.
But as they embrace Reynolds, played by Nathan Fillion staggers backwards and dramatically collapses, while smiling Saffron says: 'Night sweetie.'
While Firefly was short-lived, Christina has since seen her role in Mad Men make her a star, with the actress making the leap to the big screen in the upcoming I Don't Know How She Does It with Sarah Jessica Parker.
She has also signed on as a model for Vivienne Westwood, to make the most of her figure, and has just a finished a run with the New York Philharmonic production of Stephen Sondheim's musical Company.
Christina has been credited with reawawkening fashion designers to the beauty of the female body, with c-u-r-v-e enhancing designs returning to the runway in her wake.
But she says she has tired of everyone discussing her body constantly since her eye-popping c-u-r-v-e-s made her a household name.
It kind of hurt my feelings at first,' Hendricks told NY magazine last year.
'Anytime someone talks about your figure constantly, you get nervous, you get really self-conscious.
'I was working my butt off on the show, and then all anyone was talking about was my body.'
