Darling, please take off those pants: Catherine Zeta-Jones reveals that she found Michael Douglas wearing her underwear
No woman would be thrilled to return home to discover her husband trying on her jewels and underwear.
But rather than running straight out the door and into a lawyer's office, Catherine Zeta-Jones has laughed off the incident.
The actress has revealed that she stumbled upon husband Michael Douglas playing dress-ups recently... but the Welsh star could rest easy, as it was all in preparation for a film role.
Douglas, 67, has been cast as Liberace in a biopic about the musician and actor's secret gay life.
Intolerable Cruelty star Catherine, 42, says: 'Michael has been in the bedroom and started putting on my diamonds and things.
'I'm like, "Michael, please take off those pants. Take 'em off baby. Come on, give me back my rocks".'
Matt Damon has been lined up to play Liberace's bodyguard and live-in lover Scott Thorson.
The film, to be called Behind The Candelabra, is based on Thorson's book about his relationship with the flamboyant pianist.
Zeta-Jones also revealed that the Wall Street star has been honing his piano skills religiously in preparation for the role.
'He winks at me while he plays,' she says. 'But I’m sick of having breakfast by candelabra.'
Steven Soderbergh will direct the film, having worked with both Douglas and Damon before, in Traffic, and Informant! and Contagion respectively.
The film has been in the pipeline since 2008, with a planned summer 2011 shoot delayed. A release date is yet to be announced.
Wladziu Valentino Liberace, known publicly by his surname, died in 1987, aged 67, after a career spanning four decades.
The Ave Maria singer was famed for being the world's highest-paid entertainer at one point, and enjoyed his fortune with an extravagant lifestyle.
A spokesperson for Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas is yet to respond to a request for comment.
