The public has been wondering about Donald and Melania Trump's slightly odd relationship for a while. Donald is known for his high-profile affairs and it's no secret that he has been unfaithful to her in at least one previous marriage.
But all people want to know is: Did Donald Trump ever cheat on his current wife, Melania Trump?
The couple met while Donald was out on a date.
Donald met model Melania Knauss in a Manhattan nightclub in 1998. Although the businessman was 24 years older than her, that did not stop him from approaching her and trying to get her number. Their relationship got off to a pretty interesting start though: Donald was at the club on a different date and promptly dumped her when he saw Melania.
Since she was born in Slovenia, Melania did not know about Trump's name or fortune. But she knew that she wanted to be treated differently. When Trump asked for her phone number, she insisted on taking his. She gave him several ways to get to him and then waited. Within a week, she finally called.
“He came to the party with a date! I had heard that he was a womanizer, so I said, 'I'm not one of the women,'” he later said in an interview.
Donald Trump has been married before
But before he met Melania, Trump had another life.
Donald Trump married Ivana in 1977 and the two had three children together: Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric. He began an affair with Marla Maples while he was still married to Ivana, and eventually he and his wife divorced in 1992. Trump married Marla Maples in 1993. The couple had a daughter, Tiffany, and later divorced in 1997.
Trump and Melania Knauss met in 1998 and married in 2005. Rumors of affairs have been prevalent throughout Trump's adult life, including the infamous Stormy Daniels allegations. The former adult film star claims that she had a relationship with Donald Trump in 2006, just after the birth of her son Barron.
Has Donald Trump cheated on Melania?
They say once a cheat, always a cheat, but it's also true that people can change. While many people believe Stormy Daniels is telling the truth, Trump himself has never publicly admitted to cheating on Melania. However, Trump's attorney, Michael Cohen, was accused of making an illicit payment of $130,000 to Daniels. Was it all one big cover-up?
A Playboy model named Karen McDougal also says that she had an affair with Donald Trump in 2006 around the birth of her child. She says that the relationship lasted several months. A White House statement also denied these allegations.
Does Melania Trump think her husband cheated on her?
The person most affected by the affairs is Melania herself. But does she think Donald Trump cheated on her?
In most of it, she just ignores the rumors and obviously she's still married to him. When asked about the cheating allegations, Melania said she has "more important things to think about" than whether her husband is being faithful.
"I know people like to speculate and the media likes to speculate about our marriage and spread the gossip," she said. she said. 'But it's my understanding that gossip sells newspapers, magazines...and sadly we live in this kind of world today.'
