Halle Berry, 51, risks MAJOR wardrobe malfunction in revealing see-through gown

Halle Berry narrowly avoided an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction last night when she attended the 49th NAACP Image Awards.

The actress put on a very r@cy display in a dazzling patterned, floor-length gown.

She oozed s-x appeal in the strapless number, which featured an embellished bustier bodice.

Her curvy assets were highlighted with the sweetheart neckline and mermaid style train that pulled behind her as she walked the red carpet.

But it was the see-through panel at the centre of her dress which drew the most attention.

Fortunately, a strategically placed pattern was placed in the centre of her gown to protect her modesty.

Halle completed the glamorous look with a pair of peep-toe heels and a few pieces of silver jewellery.

She wore her brown locks in a stylish up do and left out a few strands to frame her face.

The mother-of-two chose to keep her makeup to a minimum with just a touch of mascara and a slick of n*de lipgloss.

Also at the event was Kerry Washington who looked stunning in a long black frock.

The Scandal star teased a hint of cleavage in the satin garment and accessorised with diamond chandelier earrings.

Kerry commanded attention in the sophisticated number that had a bulging skirt and spaghetti straps.

The 40-year-old actress kept her makeup simple with a little bit of eyeliner and some pink lipstick.

The NAACP Image Awards was held on Martin Lither King Jr. Day and is a ceremony that honours the achievement of people of colour in film, television, music and literature.

Some of the nominees this year included musicians Bruno Mars and Jay-Z, Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman and American film director Ava DuVernay.

British actor Idris Elba won the Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Motion Picture award for his role in Thor: Ragnarok.
