'It's not me': Christina Hendricks says leaked internet photo is a fake... but admits her phone was hacked
Christina Hendricks has denied that a picture of her t-o-p-l-e-s-s, which is currently circulating the internet, is of her.
The 36-year-old's representation have told website TMZ that images of the actress wearing b@rely any clothes and gazing into the camera are of her, but a snap of her pulling down her top to reveal her b@re bre@sts is not.
They also confirm to the website that Hendricks is in fact the victim of phone-hacking.
The TV star is said to not know who hacked her phone, but her people have alerted authorities and a case has been opened.
The statement comes after a hacker claiming to have broken into the Mad Men star's cell phone leaked pictures across the internet today that showed the actress in a series of compromising poses.
One photo showed Christina wearing lingerie and gazing into the camera.
Another shows the make-up free redhead wearing a pair of glasses and long sleeved tan shirt.
The hacker also posted pictures purported to show the actress pulling down her top to reveal her b@re bre@sts, which Hendricks and her people have said is the 'phony' picture.
Christina, who has been busy promoting the upcoming fifth season of Mad Men, is the latest in a long line of celebrities who have had their mobile phones hacked.
In November a Florida man pleaded not guilty to hacking into the email and cell phone accounts of 50 people including Christina Aguilera, Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson, whose n@ked photos eventually landed on the Internet.
Christopher Chaney, 35, of Jacksonville, Fla., Chaney was arrested on October 9th after a yearlong FBI investigation of celebrity hacking that U.S. authorities dubbed 'Operation Hackerazzi.' If convicted, Chaney faces up to 121 years in prison.
As Mad Men's Joan Holloway her hourglass curves have caused a sensation in her tight Sixties dresses but until recently her fans have only been able to fantasise about what lies beneath Christina Hendricks' costumes.
Images of Christina have previously been unearthed from her short-lived U.S. sci-fi series Firefly from 2002, in which viewers got to see a lot more of her famous figure.
The then unknown Christina played seductive con woman Saffron, who shared a n@ked k-i-s-s with Captain Malcolm Reynolds on their wedding night. The shots show her t-o-p-l-e-s-s in bed, waiting for her new husband.
While Firefly was short-lived, Christina has since seen her role in Mad Men make her a star, and has been credited with reawakening fashion designers to the beauty of the female body, with curve enhancing designs returning to the runway in her wake.
In 2010 it was reported that the voluptuous star was keen to break into movies but was adamant she wouldn't be taking her clothes off.
'Christina is riding the crest of a wave right now and the offers are flooding in,' a source close to the star said at the time.
'She would love to do more movies and is in the process of considering projects to tie in with the show’s hiatus. She has noticed though that a good number of roles she’s being offered require her to go n-de.
'Clearly everyone wants to see more of Christina but she doesn’t want to be over exposed in the wrong way.'
