'She's embarrassed... but it's a blessing from Kabbalah': Demi Moore left red-faced after collapsing from laughing gas

As if seeing pictures of your toyboy lover flirting with a trio of scantily-clad hangers-on isn't humiliating enough.

Now Demi Moore faces further embarrassment after ending up in hospital following a nitrous oxide, otherwise known as laughing gas, binge.

The GI Jane actress reportedly has a very bruised ego because she's ordinarily 'such a private person'.

Despite claims that the 49-year-old lives her life away from the prying eye of the media glare, this isn't quite the case.

Demi engaged in frequent Twitter conversations with Ashton Kutcher - with her estranged husband even posting a topless  image of her in underwear.

An insider told People: 'Ego-wise, this is the worst thing that could happen to Demi, because she's such a private person. She's embarrassed.'

While she is already slender, the brunette beauty has lost even more weight since splitting from The Butterfly Effect star, 33, last November.

The source added that Demi's faith in Kabbalah will help guide her away from a self-destructive path as the form of Jewish mysticism 'can be an opportunity, a blessing, and not a curse.'

They added: 'The right intervention happened in her life. From a spiritual sense, it is a gift.

'She has a real opportunity to grow from it. She has to take responsibility for her life.'

Demi was hospitalised last Monday after reportedly smoking an unnamed substance, overdosing on N2O and suffering 'anorexia issues'.
