The love scene with which Nicole felt humiliated
The Australian actress declared how difficult it was for her to perform the violent love scenes in the HBO series, “Big Little Lies”
Actress Nicole Kidman had a time of splendor where she was the most desired and praised woman for her talent and beauty, but for several years she retired from show business to give priority to independent projects.
Kidman revealed to W Magazine that her role in the HBO series "Big Little Lies" had a profound effect on the actress. Nicole said that the violent and graphic erotic scenes really "felt dangerous and upsetting."
“When I was going home, I was feeling embarrassed, and it's the same emotions and the same feelings that Celeste was having, so we had parallel feelings. But I was willing to do that for the role, because I felt it was important."
“Big Little Lies” was created by David E. Kelley, based on the Liane Moriarty novel of the same name, and is about three Northern California mothers whose lives are upended by a murder. Kidman plays "Celeste Wright," who is in an abusive relationship with her husband, played by Alexander Skarsgård.
I felt very exposed and vulnerable, and deeply humiliated at times. I mean, I remember lying on the bathroom floor at the end, when we were doing the scenes in episode seven, she was lying on the floor and I wouldn't get up between takes. I was lying there broken and crying, and I remember Jean-Marc Vallée, director of the series, coming over and putting a towel on top of me, because I was lying there in half-torn underwear, basically nothing.
And she added that she sometimes gets glimpses of women going through situations like that, but she praised the way Jean-Marc Vallée adapted it.
