People started mocking her and the pictures graced the covers of magazines with humorous titles trying to humiliate her in order to sell copies.
That night she had a full bladder when performing on stage, and in order to perform as the fans expected her to perform, she decided to keep her chin up despite knowing what would happen in front of thousands of people:
I'm running on and we jump and do 'Let's Get It Started', and I get crazy and I jump and I run across the stage and my adrenaline was going and gosh… I wish it didn't happen ... It was so embarrassing!
What all those people who mocked her failed to mention is her bravery. She knew she would embarrass herself, but she also knew she couldn't stop the show for it out of respect for her fans and coworkers, so she did what she did best and gave everyone one hell of a show, and in return, she was mocked worldwide.
I'm not a fan of her, but I have tremendous respect for the professionalism she showed that night.
