Baywatch movie: Alexandra Daddario reveals the secret to running scenes
Baywatch star Alexandra Daddario has revealed how she tackled those iconic scenes of the cast running in slow-mo across the beach.
The TV series on which the new film is based was certainly well known for the slowed-down jogging, with the likes of Pamela Anderson centre-stage.
Now, Daddario - who stars alongside Zac Efron and Kelly Rohrbach in the comedy - has said how she approached it.
“[At first] you start thinking about it too much,” she told Rochelle Humes on ITV’s Lorraine.
“You watch it back on playback and you look like you’re trying too hard.”
She added: “So I think the secret was letting go. You just run naturally and then they slow it down.
“You just have to add the hair flip!”
Of all the movie's stars, Daddario and Efron have probably put in the most hours when it comes to promoting the movie.
She recently said of it: “It is raunchy. We took the things that seem ridiculous about Baywatch now and we poked fun at them lovingly.
“[We] turned them up to 11, as far as having the freedom to make penis jokes and curse and that kind of thing.”
Efron added: “It was a big goal of ours to reverse that women were the object of male attention, and make characters like Brody the subject of the jokes.
“And making the women more intelligent.”
