Dakota Johnson Hopes Her Parents Won’t Watch Fifty Shades Of Grey

'I'm not going to invite them to watch': Dakota Johnson says parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson aren't welcome to Fifty Shades Of Grey set

Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson will be stopped if they try to visit the set of Fifty Shades Of Grey.

That's because their daughter Dakota, 24, doesn't want them there.

In the new issue of Entertainment Weekly the beauty says, 'I'm obviously not going to invite them to take part in this experience. I don't need to watch movies of theirs where they do things like this. Why would you want to watch that?'

Melanie, 56, went almost completely n-ked in her 1986 film Something Wild and Don, 63, had ste-my scenes in the 1990 drama The Hot Spot.

The young beauty also said she has no fear about playing wide-eyed ingenue Anastasia Steele.

'I'm not afraid of this story,' the actress told writer Nicole Sperling.

'I understand this girl and I get it.'

Johnson posed for the weekly in characters with newly dyed brunette locks and her hand raised to her mouth in a gesture of uncertainty.

Dakota, who has had to exercise seriously for the first time in order to get into shape for the demanding role, has admitted: 'Obviously, I want to look good n-ked. I totally understand now why people exercise, because it kind of f***ing feels awesome.'

Jamie smoulders in the shot, in a sharp grey suit and crisp white shirt, his light brown hair swept back to reveal the face that made him a Calvin Klein model.

The Once Upon A Time actor, who hails from Northern Ireland, told EW, 'A lot of people care about this book, and I;m nit under any illusion that they don't. A;; I can say is I;m going to do everything in my power to portray Christian Grey as truthfully as possible. I can't guarantee that's going to please everyone - just me being cast doesn't please everyone - but it's happened and I'm going to give it everything.'

He also admitted to feeling nervous as he was waiting for that all-important call after auditioning for the sought-after part.

'There was a slight fear,' Dornan revealed. 'But beyond anything else, I was really f***ing excited.'

Luckily for The Fall star, the impending love scenes aren't as daunting as might be expected.

'I grew up in a very liberal place,' he said. 'I’m not saying we had a playroom, but I’m not shocked by [the s-x in the book]. It’s essential to tell the story. I can’t believe films that don’t invoke the s-xual side of it. So it works for me.'

A simple plum-coloured dress revealing her pale skin and slim arms, Dakota has been down from the start to play the character of Anastasia, who falls in love with billionaire Christian Grey, only to find out he has a less-than-conventional approach to s-x.

Dornan, meanwhile, was the second choice for the role after Sons Of Anarchy actor Charlie Hunnam pulled out of the project citing a schedule clash.

A further image shows Dakota in a short silk dress, clasping her lover while wearing an almost pained expression.

In another, she wears a casual outfit - a light blue jumper over jeans and white sneakers - highlighting the difference between the innocent student Anastasia and her experienced billionaire boyfriend.

Grey's dangerously sleek persona is a far cry from Dornan's everyday life.

He's currently expecting his first child with his wife, singer Amelia Warner, and is often spotted walking around London dressed casually.

The highly-anticipated film was scheduled to premiere in August of next year, however fans will have to wait a little while longer after Universal announced the film won't hit the big screen until February 13, 2015.
