Donald Trump’s daughter Tiffany posts cryptic poem days after claims President avoided pics with her due to her weight
Donald Trump’s daughter Tiffany posted a cryptic poem saying "you will never know me" - just days after it was claimed her dad was "embarrassed" by her weight.
Donald Trump's personal assistant Madeleine Westerhout was forced to resign from her White House job on Thursday having told reporters the President did not like being seen in pictures with Tiffany because he perceived her to be fat.
A poem shared on her Instagram story read: "Study me as much as you like, you will never know me.
"For I differ a hundred ways from what you see me to be.
"Put yourself behind my eyes, and see me as I see myself.
"Because I have chosen to dwell in a place you cannot see."
It comes after Trump, 73, told reporters "I love Tiffany" - and said she was going to call him that day.
He said: “She’s going to be calling me when we get to Camp David.
“I love Tiffany. She’s a wonderful person and she studies hard.”
Westerhout's comments were said to have been made at an off-the-record dinner on August 17.
She reportedly also said that Trump “couldn’t pick Tiffany out of a crowd.”
Trump described the comments as “absolutely false”.
'ABSOLUTELY FALSE'
He praised Westerhout’s professionalism, saying she “always did a good job” but added her comments were “a little bit hurtful” to him.
Tiffany, 25, is the only child between the US President and his second wife Marla Maples.
Westerhout, 28, was seen as an important ‘gatekeeper’ for the President, who controlled outside advisers and who got access to Mr Trump.
In a 2018 interview with the Washington Post, Trump said: “Madeleine is the key. She’s the secret.”
In February this year Westerhout blasted an unknown person who leaked three months of Mr Trump’s calendar appointments to the press.
She wrote on Twitter at the time: “What these don’t show are the hundreds of calls and meetings @realDonaldTrump takes everyday.
“This POTUS is working harder for the American people than anyone in recent history.”
Trump married Maples in December 1993 but they divorced in 1999 having been separated for two years.
Tiffany was raised by her mum in California.
