Kristen Stewart spoke about her "stupid" romance with Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart revealed that the relationship she had with Robert Pattinson as a result of the 'Twilight' saga films was a product of her youth and her lack of maturity. Although that does not mean that the separation from her has not been painful.

With the premiere of 'Spencer', a film where Kristen Stewart plays Princess Diana, the actress has been giving interviews. In the one she had with The New Yorker she took a trip down memory lane and talked about her first big date in the industry.

The 31-year-old actress became famous in 2008 with her role as Bella in the "Twilight" saga and, just like on the screen, she began an emotional relationship with Robert Pattinson in real life, who played the vampire Edward Cullen.

When talking about the courtship with the British actor, he commented that from the beginning they both had chemistry, because in the casting for the character of Edward Cullen the actors had to read dialogues with her and kiss, so it was obvious with whom there was a connection. .

The two leading actors of the saga began a relationship in 2009, a year after the first film was released and they lasted four years as boyfriends, until they officially separated in May 2013. But their breakup occurred when they were in promotional tour for 'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2' so they had to work together for a while now separated.

On the way Pattinson acted for his role, he said that the Briton did it with an intellectual approach but combined it with an attitude of "I don't give a fuck about all this (the plot of the movie), but I'm going to make it work. ", and that she had the same way of seeing her role.

In the end, in the film, the dynamics and romance between the actors was reflected in the movies and that made it more believable to see the characters in love; however, Stewart called her relationship with Pattinson a product of her youth and of those same circumstances that the on-screen relationship led them to be together.

Anyway, we were young and stupid, and I don't want to say that we played the part much better, but it was what was needed (for the movie), what we needed to feel for those characters. We were together for years, it was my first love.

The legacy of the "Twilight" saga is also something that marked the actress, as she commented that many people since then have only seen her as the character of Bella and pigeonhole her into superficial roles.

"How funny it is that people think they know you. Did they think I'd keep doing 'Twilight' forever? Is that how they saw me? If that's how they saw me, they don't really expect much of me, because I can do so much more than that." .

With her performance in 'Spencer', playing the young Lady Di, the 31-year-old actress seems to move away from the shadow of Bella and the critics who have seen her believe that thanks to her performance she could appear at the Oscars.
