The alleged ex-boyfriend of Melania Trump that the White House does not want to talk about

Why is there refusal to answer about the history of the First Lady?

In 2016, ABC News caused a sensation with an interview in Slovenia with Jure Zorcic, the alleged boyfriend of first lady Melania Trump when she was 21 years old.

When the story aired, the presidential election campaigns were not in full swing, but now President Donald Trump was gaining steam as a contender.

For several months that story dogged White House spokesmen to confirm or elaborate on it, but Hope Hicks, who later became Director of Communications, told MailOnline that Zorcic's story was "a fiction," that he was of "another person trying to use Mrs. Trump's name for publicity."

This Tuesday, the portal elitedily.com, focused on celebrities and socialites, publishes an article about the past of the First Lady, who returned to the White House over the weekend after kidney surgery.

Chelsea Stweart, author of the piece, returns to the former model's past, recounting her life, but in the process of confirming information, she asked the White House about Melania's supposed ex-boyfriend.

Prior to Melania and Donald's romance, she reportedly dated a man named Jure Zorcic when she was 21 years old and still living in Slovenia (when she was known as Melanija Knavs), according to ABC News. "However, the White House has denied this story, and Elite Daily has reached out to the White House for additional comment on (the First Lady's) dating history, but received no response at the time of publication."

When interviewed by ABC News, Zorcic said that Melania was not a typical Slovenian girl.

"She wanted to live abroad, in Italy, France, have a fashionable life," Zorcic said, adding, "She was very fashionable."

But there was no talk of going to the United States: "I think she was very far from our minds at the time," Zorcic said.

"We met like in a movie," Zorcic said. “It was a hot summer day, between the wars in Slovenia (in 1991). It was the beginning of a new political era for us, the city was empty, blocked by the army”. Zorcic even shows off the motorcycle.

The couple dated for several months and spent the summer days by the Croatian sea with a group of friends, according to the man. Despite their brief time together, Zorcic remembers Melania fondly. "It was a little surprising when I met her," he said. “She is very special, that is the truth.”

Lacking further information, Stweart's text focuses on how President Trump and Melania met at a fashion show 13 years ago.
