Angelina Jolie worried about n-de bath scene in By The Sea after her b--bs were removed

Jolie had a double mastectomy in 2013 and wanted to change or cut the scene in her new film, which she also directs

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has revealed she almost cut a n-de bath scene from new movie By The Sea due to her breasts having been removed.

Jolie, who stars and directs the romantic drama, had a double mastectomy in 2013 after tests revealed she had a high chance of developing breast cancer.

However she said to have done so would have been "cheating".

"There were lots of scenes I wanted to change or cut," Jolie said.

"I realized it was going to be me in that bathtub. But I told myself, put all of that aside.

And she revealed that directing the flick provided a challenge given the vulnerable nature of her character de ella-and especially so during s-x scenes with hunk Pitt.

"The duality - being a director, then having to become a person that vulnerable - would often be hard," she continued.

"There's a whole reel of me calling 'cut!'

"If a doctor saw it, I'd be put on medication.

"I'm hysterically crying and then calling 'cut!' or during a s-x scene I am calling 'cut!' on Brad.

"You had to laugh at how bizarre it was."

By The Sea is the couple's first on-screen outing since 2005's Mr and Mrs Smith - where they met - and sees their characters attempting to hold their loveless marriage together.

Speaking recently about her own relationship from Ella to the Today Show in the US in a rare joint interview with Brad, Angelina insisted they did n't share the problems of their characters.

She said: "We were joking... We were saying, like... 'See, this is the beginning. And then this is 10 years later. This is what 10 years of marriage will do to you.'

"I'm counting on the audience to know that if it was close to us at all, we could never make this film.

"It's because we're actually very, very stable and these aren't our issues."
