Who was Angelina Jolie's first husband?
In the early 90s, Angelina Jolie was a struggling actress, trying to make a name for herself in the industry in which her father, Jon Voight, had been so successful. In 1995, Jolie appeared in the movie The Pirates, opposite a young actor named Jonny Lee Miller. Jolie and Miller fell in love and began dating while filming the film. They tied the knot in a small civil ceremony just six months after the film's release. Jolie wore rubber pants and a t-shirt for the ceremony, representing her rebellious style perfectly.
The marriage between Jolie and Miller did not last long and they ended up divorcing in 1999. There was no animosity between the two and reportedly they are still friends to this day.

1999 wasn't just a heartbreaking year for Jolie. That same year, she met Billy Bob Thornton on the set of their film Pushing the Tin. Thornton was engaged to actress Laura Dern, but he and Jolie developed strong feelings for each other and he broke off his engagement to Dern. In May 2000, Jolie and Thornton married in a ceremony in Las Vegas. Soon, the couple became tabloid darlings.
Jolie and Thornton were outrageous and over the top, even carrying vials of blood and talking openly about their relationship. As Angelina Jolie began to experience even more success in her career, her marriage to Thornton began to deteriorate. In 2002, they separated.

Pitt and Jolie would go on to have three biological children together in total, and three adopted children (Jolie had adopted her son, Maddox, at the end of her marriage to Thornton). They did not get married until August 2014. Rumors of trouble between the two plagued Jolie and Pitt, and in August 2016, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt. The divorce would ultimately be a long process and was not finalized until early 2019.
Could Angelina Jolie get married again?
There's no doubt the divorce was bitter and took its toll on Jolie, Pitt, and their children. While the former couple have remained mostly quiet about what happened during the divorce, a source says Jolie is so traumatized by the split that she's vowed never to marry again. The same source reveals that Jolie never really wanted to marry Pitt in the first place and that he "pressured" her into getting married.
Admittedly, Jolie feels finished with the idea of marriage for the moment. After all, her divorce from Pitt lasted three years. But the actress is still young, at just 44, and it certainly seems likely that she'll want love in her life again. Whether she decides to remarry is another matter altogether.
