Elizabeth Olsen does not know what will happen to Wanda in the future, but hopes to continue playing the character
The actress even stated that she would like to see elements of "Witches Road" adapted.
When WandaVision ended its broadcast in early 2021, it was clear to fans that in one way or another the story of Wanda Maximoff would continue on the big screen at the hand of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, now that that movie has hit theaters, it's a mystery what will happen to Scarlet Witch in the future.
In fact, as Marvel Studios has not yet announced neither Doctor Strange 3 nor a second season of WandaVision, at the moment there is no clarity on where or how we could see the character again, and that is, although in Multiverse of Madness a kind of conclusion to his story, clearly this is a superhero universe where comebacks are the order of the day.
In that sense, Elizabeth Olsen, the actress who has played Wanda since that post-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, assured that she still does not know the plans of Kevin Feige's company for her character.
"I think the fans generally have the best ideas and I really don't know where we go from here and what the limitations of the MCU are because I don't follow what their plans are," Olsen explained when asked about her future as Wanda in an interview with Comic book. “I feel like fans always know what the plans are, even when they're not announced yet. And therefore I don't know. I have this image. There are some images in my head, I think they are from 'Witches Road', as (Wanda) is getting older and decaying, while using her power and there is something in that, this older woman, who is getting older by her power, that interests me . And I don't really know what that means, but I'd love to be old."
