Filtered call from Taylor Swift and Kanye West; This is how Kim Kardashian's husband lied
The enmity between Swift and West accumulates several confrontations, but one of the most mediatic occurred in 2016 after the publication of the song "Famous".
An account of anonymous origin, dedicated to followers of Taylor Swift, published on social networks a video that had never been seen before and that contains the 25-minute call in which the rapper Kanye West supposedly warned the star that he would insult her in a song.
The enmity between Swift and West accumulates several confrontations, but one of the most mediatic occurred in 2016 after the publication of the song "Famous", which became a success and included a derogatory verse about the singer, who always defended that she did not know of that content, a version that the new leak confirms.
"I think me and Taylor could still hook up. Why? Because I made that bitch famous," West sang on "Famous."
The line was criticized by other artists and by Swift herself, who at all times assured that she did not know the full content of the song.
In response to the reaction, West's media wife, Kim Kardashian, published in 2016 a fragment of the call between the two in which Swift was heard giving the authorization to include the controversial line.
"I never would have expected you to tip me off to a verse from one of your songs, that's very polite of you," Swift told West in the excerpt.
Although, as the star defended at the time of her, the phrase that Swift heard was very different from the one that was finally included in the rap.
In the call now published, it is clear that West only mentioned the "I think Taylor and I could still sleep" part, without including any insults or anything pejorative.
In fact, Swift is heard saying that she's "glad it's not something derogatory."
"What a buzz you created. I thought it was going to be something like 'dumb and stupid bitch'. But it's not," Swift said.
This controversy is part of the enmity that has faced West and Kardashian with Swift for a decade.
During the 2009 MTV awards, the singer -then unknown to the masses- starred in one of the most repeated moments of the pop imaginary: When he was collecting his first award, Kanye West interrupted his speech and removed the microphone on stage to say that Beyoncé deserved that award.
Just ten years after that show, and with many more awards under her arm, the artist was the protagonist of the American Music Awards in a gala that crowned her as the "artist of the decade".
