Gwyneth Paltrow gags after kissing Johnny Depp in new trailer for Mortdecai

That's not the response he's used to! Gwyneth Paltrow gags after kissing Johnny Depp in new trailer for Mortdecai

He's a Hollywood heartthrob with a legion of female fans that would no doubt happily stand in line for a chance to smooch him.

However, Johnny Depp, 51, struggles to win the affections of a certain lady in his latest movie Mortdecai, where he plays a kooky English art dealer.

In a newly released trailer for the flick we see Charles Mortdecai (Depp) showing off and grooming his quirky moustache - which appears to be a turn-off for Johanna, played by Gwyneth Paltrow, 42.

As the pair lean in for a kiss, Johanna amusingly recoils and turns away to gag while Mortdecai responds with the same, retching to the side of the chaise lounge they are perching on.

Stephen Fry narrates the clip and is heard saying as it opens, 'Meet British spy, Charlie Mortdecai.

'He is incredibly refined.' he continues, as Depp is seen preening his facial hair in a smart suit and salmon pink tie.

Johanna doesn't seem to be a fan of his furry upper lip, however, in one clip looking at Mortdecai and saying: 'don't point that thing at me'

The voiceover continues 'He's very dashing.'

In another scene Mortdecai argues with Inspector Martland (Ewan McGregor) who calls his moustache 'infernal' and the quirky character defending his look saying, 'Some members of the fairer s-x find it quite appealing'

Olivia Munn's character certainly seems to find his moustache enchanting as she adds the raunch factor in one very revealing scene - undoing her top to show lots of cleavage.

The trailer ends with a mash-up of action and clumsy escapades as Mortdecai embarks on a 'mission to save the world.'

The film, directed by David Koepp, is adapted from a group of comic novels called The Mortdecai Trilogy and is released on January 23.

Meanwhile, Depp has sparked speculation that he's planning a surprise New Year's Eve wedding to his fiance Amber Heard, 28.

The actor has invited guests including Steven Tyler, Helena Bonham Carter and partner Tim Burton, Marilyn Manson to a bash on his private island in the Bahamas.

And Gwynnie spent the holidays with ex husband Chris Martin and their children Apple, 10 and eight-year-old Moses.
