Jennifer Lawrence Says Filming Scene In 'Don't Look Up' Was The Worst Day Of Her Life

Since its release less than a week ago, Don't Look Up has taken audiences by storm, but now Jennifer Lawrence has spoken about the 'worst day of her life' and revealed that it happened shooting her first scene.

The star-studded film follows two astronomers (Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence) who are attempting to warn humankind of an approaching comet by embarking on a bizarre media tour. You can watch the trailer here:

Viewers and critics alike have raved about the movie since it's release but 31-year-old Lawrence reveals how there were a few hiccups when it came to filming - especially her very first scene.

The actor - who plays the leading role of astronomer Kate Dibiasky - had to memorise and perform her own rendition of Wu Tang’s 'Ain’t Nuthing ta F’ Wit' while she munched on some toast.

As awkward as you might feel that would be to do - imagine you've not got to do in front of an entire production team that you don't know.

Speaking at the press conference for the film, Lawrence explained: "Because something happened with COVID, that ended up being my very first scene.

“It was horrifying, because I’m in this huge hanger, and it’s so quiet. And I don’t know anybody, and I had to rap Wu-Tang Clan. It was just horrendous. And then what’s in the movie is like, five seconds. I really wish I had known that.”

She went on to reveal how that specific day on set was 'the worst day of my life'.

Writer and director Adam McKay (Step Brothers, Anchorman) chimed in at this point to say he thought she did a sterling job to which she responded: "Hey, I knew my assignment. I did know every word, I still do."

Of course at that point, she proved just that and started rapping the song.

If that wasn't challenging enough, Lawrence faced another set back when she lost her veneer during filming.

Speaking to the Associated Press she said: "Well, I lost a tooth pretty early in the filming.

"And I couldn’t go to the dentist until the end of the movie, so I had to film most of the movie toothless. That was my personal challenge.”

The film also stars Meryl Streep, Timothee Chalamet, Cate Blanchett and Tyler Perry, with singers Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi also featuring.
