Arya Stark is one of the only Game of Thrones ladies to keep her clothes on in the show so far, and Maisie Williams has now hinted that it might remain this way right until the end.
The 21-year-old - who has been hard at work promoting the new series, which is set to air later this month - spoke out about the s-xualization's of her female peers in Hollywood.
She explained: “I have been really lucky, in that I play characters who aren’t necessarily the eye candy. It’s hard for young actresses who still feel like scrappy teenagers but are sort of forced to play characters who are a lot more mature, because, you know, ‘young s-xy woman’ really sells in Hollywood.”
Maisie then said, when asked if she would be the one person who will get to the end of Game of Thrones without stripping off: “I might manage it, you know.”
The actress also spoke to The Sunday Times’ Style magazine about what fans can expect in season seven, saying that Arya’s journey could end up being “bittersweet”.
Despite first insisting that she “couldn’t say anything,” Maisie eventually revealed: “Things are looking up for Arya. She gets her own way a little bit, which is nice, because she’s had such a tough journey.
“But…they’re also bittersweet at the same time. Dot, dot, dot,” she mysteriously added.
Maisie spoke out about working with actors such as Sean Bean from a very early age as well, insisting that it didn’t phase her because she was so young.
The actress went on: “At 12, I was fearless and didn’t care, so I enjoyed it. But then, as each season passed, the pressure built and it became a little destructive.
“Everyone goes through that dip in confidence. That also came with puberty.
“It all fizzled out a bit, and I lost my confidence and now I’m slowly starting to get it back again.”
