The Legend of Tarzan London premiere: Alexander Skarsgard saves Margot Robbie from wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet
Alexander Skarsgard was on hand to save Margot Robbie from an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction at the London premiere of The Legend of Tarzan.
Luckily for the Australian actress, her co-star was right behind her as her sheer dress appeared to come undone while walking the red carpet at the Odeon Leicester Square on Tuesday night.
Clearly not too bothered by the near slip-up, the 26-year-old laughed it off as she continued to pose for the cameras.
Robbie, who plays Jane Clayton in the David Yates-directed project said that she refused to lose any weight for the film role.
Speaking to Australia’s TV Week, she said: “It’s the 19th century (in the film) – if she’s got a bit of weight on her, it’s probably a good thing.
“I’m not going to look thin just for the sake of it.”
The actress admitted that the reason behind her decision not to slim down was that she was enjoying visiting London pubs so much during filming.
“It was my first time living in London properly and I wanted to try every pub,” she said.
Skarsgard, who plays the lead role of Tarzan, had a very different kind of fitness and diet regime.
“The diet – horrible,” he told US Weekly. “I’ve got to give credit to Guy, our chef. He had his hands tied – like, no sugar, no dairy. It was very strict.”
Skarsgard, 39, was joined at on the red carpet for the first time by girlfriend Alexa Chung.
While the pair have been dating since last year, they have yet to make an official red carpet appearance together as a couple.
Tarzan stars Christoph Waltz and Djimon Hounsou also walked the red carpet on Tuesday evening.
