Mia recently talked about her past and her time in p-rn in an interview with Stephen Sackur, host of the BBC's Hard Talk.
During her story, the former adult video actress revealed that for a good part of her life she struggled with being overweight and this situation made her feel like an ugly woman or that she did not deserve the attention of the men.
But things changed when she entered college, during her first year she began to lose weight, which triggered several changes in her body. By the time she graduated with a history degree from the University of Texas she had lost over 50 pounds and her breasts had also shrunk which made her feel unattractive.
For this reason, Mia Khalifa had her breasts operated on in order to recover an attribute that would make her more attractive to men.
Almost immediately the young woman began to receive the attention that she wanted and not being used to it, she felt that she should do everything possible to receive special treatment from the opposite s-x.
"After feeling what that validation and compliments were like, I didn't want it to end," Khalifa recounted in her BBC interview.
Mia Khalifa also acknowledged that these compliments and her feeling desired was one of the reasons that led her to enter the world of p-rnography. However, she clarified that her path in this industry did not begin with a handsome guy who convinced her to record intim-te videos or with a juicy financial offer in exchange for performing some scenes.

Thanks to these compliments, the young woman ended up in a studio in Miami, which at first glance seemed like a respectable place, full of family photos, where everyone was very friendly.
"The first time I went in was not the first time I shot a p-rn movie. It was the second time. The first time was more about signing paperwork and so on," Khalifa said.
Mía also spoke of the "mental blackouts" that she suffered when she recorded s-xual scenes, since in many cases she could not clearly remember everything she did on the set.
Khalifa explained that this situation occurred because her adrenaline shot up, because she was aware that she was doing something that exceeded all her limits.
"I think a part of that was also rebellion and wanting to do something so off limits and so out of place that it surprised even myself," she confessed the former p-rn actress.
However, at that time she imagined that no one would find out that she was recording p-rnographic videos.
Although she was clear that she was doing something that would affect her family, she believed that it was okay for her to do p-rn because she figured no one would find out.
The young woman assured that thousands of women are recorded having s-x and her identity is never known. "No one knows who they are and no one recognizes them, I wanted to make it my dirty little secret but it blew up in my face," Khalifa said.

Khalifa commented that during that recording she was scared of what she would do, but she ended up shooting the scenes because she was intimidated and nervous.

"I want to say that I realized that some mistakes are unforgivable. But time heals all wounds and things are getting better now," Khalifa said.
