The actress and ex-wife of Johnny Depp accuses the Hanleys of secretly recording additional material of n-dity and s-xual scenes against their will
It seems that London Fields is destined for scandal. The legal problems that the film has had to face do not cease. In November of last year, the Toronto International Film Festival had to withdraw it from its billboard after the film's director Mathew Cullen denounced the producers for having acted fraudulently by including a scene in the final cut against his will. Now Amber Heard, one of her protagonists, has accused the producer and the screenwriter of s-xual exploitation.
The back and forth between them come and go. In late 2016, Christopher Hanley and his wife, screenwriter Roberta Hanley, sued Heard for breach of contract for refusing to promote the film. "The producers claim that Heard and Mathew Cullen cut out some of the provocative scenes. The lawsuit also claims that the actress objected to versions of the film that included some n-dity and s-x scenes, even though she had agreed to such scenes in her contract." Variety published. Four months later, the 30-year-old interpreter has decided to fight back and has filed a complaint in which she claims that she has been "a victim of s-xual exploitation by the producer and screenwriter."
As explained in the lawsuit, Heard requested certain specific restrictions on scenes in which she appeared n-de or had s-xual content. They agreed to the terms that the actress demanded, but then used a double and breached the contract.
"The Hanleys secretly recorded additional n-de material and s-x scenes with a Heard double, and included them in the 'producer's cut,' which is a violation of the n-dity clause," specifies the interpreter's lawyer. In addition, they assure that the Hanley couple has in their possession photographic material in which the actress appears n-de. Supposedly the producer demanded that they provide him with continuity photos – images that are taken during the filming to check the makeup – of Heard during the filming. These photos show Amber Heard n-de during costume changes. Hanley has no legitimate business purpose in continuing to have such material after filming is over."
In the film, Amber Heard plays Nicola Six, a clairvoyant who has a premonition that she is going to be killed. The actress shares a cast with Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Sturgess and his ex-husband Johnny Depp.
