The actress hopes that in the future she can wear more than just a corset with pants.
Scarlet Witch has proven to be one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it's enough to see what she did in Avengers: Infinity War (something we won't talk about here, don't worry).
Elizabeth Olsen, the actress who brings the Scarlet Witch to life on screen, is happy with the growth her character has had, which went from being an entity that only threw energy beams to having melee fight scenes and a story deeper.
However, there is something about the character that the actress just hates: her costume. This was explained by Elizabeth Olsen herself in an interview for
“I like corsets, but I wish it was taller. They all have these things that cover them. Tessa Thompson has it, Scarlett (Johansson) has it. I would like something that covers me a little higher. It's funny because sometimes I look around and I'm like wow, I'm the only one with cleavage! And that's a constant joke because my superhero costume hasn't really evolved that much. But then you look at where it started in the comics, with a leotard and a headband that… oh, it's horrible, horrible! In the end you know it's not cool."
And you're right. If you're going to take on Thanos, you're going to want to wear more than just your charms hidden behind a red jacket. Although his complaint is logical, we believe that the choice of costume has more to do with keeping the fans of the character happy.
We don't expect Scarlet Witch to have an Iron Man suit in the future, but we do expect a battle uniform that will do just that, or at least put a cape on her. Or what do you think?
