'I just can't look!' Emma Watson admits she refuses to watch her kissing scenes in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower
As Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson wasn't required to do many kissing scenes.
So when it came to puckering up with her co-star in her latest movie The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, Emma Watson admitted she found the scene more than a little difficult.
Emma revealed during an interview with Nick Grimshaw on his new Radio 1 breakfast show on Wednesday morning that she just can't watch when the passionate scene comes on during the movie.
She said: 'It's really funny because when I watch the film back, there are a few things I can't watch. I can't watch the Rocky Horror dancing scene, and I can't watch the kissing scenes.'
Emma sports a corset and lashings of make-up as she channels Susan Sarandon in the Rocky Horror tribute scene, and said that she found it tough getting in touch with her physical side for the moves.
She added: 'This film really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I told the director that I have just come from playing Hermione Granger and you are expecting me to dance and putting me in corsets, and it's difficult.'
Another thing Emma struggled with in the film was mastering the American accent, although the British star said she did enlist the help of her friends at college in the States to get it right.
She said: 'I had help from my college friends with the accent but i really lost sleep over it and was very concerned about making sure the American accent was peachy. I worked with a voice coach too.'
And while Emma has earned herself legions of admirers thanks to her slim figure, she admitted that there is one thing she just can't live without when it comes to her treats.
Asked if there was one food she would happily eat for the rest of her life, Emma replied: 'It would have to be the Heinz baked beans - the ones with the pork sausages. And toast. So I guess it would be two items.'
Emma is in the UK ahead of the premiere of The Perks Of Being A Wallflower on Wednesday night, and admitted it can be daunting to prepare for such a huge red carpet event.
She said: 'It's really full on - you have to treat it like an out of body experience - a very surreal hour or two and then normal life resumes, ish!
'But after Harry Potter, nothing will ever be as scary and mental as that!'
