Ivana Trump assured that she would never forgive actress Marla Maples for "taking the father of her children"
"The best s-x I've ever had," was how Donald Trump publicly spoke of his relationship with Marla Maples, the woman for whom the businessman ended his marriage to Ivana Trump in 1992, who died this Thursday at the age of 73.
During the 15 years of his first marriage, the tycoon had three children: Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Eric. However, this was not enough to prevent his romance with Maples.
Marla began her career in the late 1980s as a clothing model and movie actress and in the 1990s her television appearances began. She participated in WWF WrestleMania VII, Designing Women and even made it to Broadway with The Will Rogers Follies.
At the end of the eighties, problems began in Trump's first marriage, since Ivana had discovered her husband's affair with the actress. According to the tycoon's first wife in her memoirs, Maples arrived at the restaurant where the Trump family had lunch in Aspen to introduce herself: "I'm Marla and I love your husband."
It was then that a nearly three-year legal battle began over the properties they shared. Finally, the model obtained 10 million dollars and another 16 million in properties.

But Ivana forever held a grudge against Marla Maples. “That woman broke up my marriage and took the father of my children. "She wants my forgiveness for her own good, but I'm fine with my resentment," she expressed in her book.
While they were divorcing, Ivana and Donald Trump staged a media war in which a cover that the businessman gave to the New York Post stood out. The tycoon assured that Marla described her relationship as “the best s-x she has ever had”. However, decades later, the actress denied having made those statements.
In 1993 they had their daughter Tiffany and two months later they were married in a luxurious ceremony at The Plaza, in which few stars attended and none of the children of the businessman's previous marriage.

Their relationship made it to the big screen, as Marla and Donald Trump made a cameo in an episode of the series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
In 1997, the couple broke up. However, due to the prenuptial agreement that she signed five days before her wedding, the actress received only two million dollars during the divorce.
According to journalists close to the 45th president of the United States, Maples made the same mistake as Ivana Trump and tried to hog the spotlight and go to high society events, while Trump just wanted to stay home and watch television.
