Robert Downey Jr, the star of 'Iron Man', has thrown fans into a state of panic after cutting ties (virtual) with his former Marvel teammates on Instagram.
The actor stopped following his co-stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM) on the social network, which is generating many questions from fans. Digital Spy has contacted the actor's representatives for comment.
Ensuring good proportionality, Robert now only follows 43 people on Instagram, but has over 50 million followers.
While he has stopped following his Marvel co-stars, Robert still follows famous names like artist Damien Hirst and the band The 1975.
Robert may not be interested in the Instagram posts of his former co-stars, but on Twitter he still follows MCU members like Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and, of course, Tom Holland.
Last April, the actor who plays Tony Stark celebrated two years since the premiere of 'Avengers: Endgame' on Instagram by sharing a never-before-seen clip from the film. Robert wrote in the post, "I can't believe it's already been two years since Endgame... #LoveYouAll3000."
Beyond Marvel, Robert is currently an executive producer, along with his wife Susan, of the comic book adaptation 'Sweet Tooth: The Deer Boy' on Netflix.
