Sarah Jessica Parker's heartbreaking farewell to Willie Garson, her S-x and the City partner

After days of silence, the actress paid him a heartfelt tribute through social networks: "The loss of a 30-year friendship has been unbearable"

Three days after the death of her S-x and the City castmate Willie Garson, Sarah Jessica Parker paid tribute to him with a heartbreaking post on social media. In her farewell text, the actress described her loss as "unbearable."

Garson, remembered for playing Suein in the series, died Tuesday at the age of 57. The actor had fought for years against pancreatic cancer and the news of his death was confirmed by his son Nathen.

Shortly after the sad news of his departure was known, many of his castmates from the iconic HBO fiction paid tribute to him through social networks. Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis were three of the actresses who expressed his anguish and dedicated heartfelt words to him.

But unlike them, Parker hadn't been vocal about it. At the time of her, she had only commented on a commemorative publication of her colleague Chris Noth (Mr. Big in the series), where she explained that she was not ready to fire her friend yet.

This Friday, finally, she broke the silence and dedicated an emotional message to Garson on her Instagram account. Alongside a series of photos, the Hollywood star wrote: “It has been excruciating. Sometimes silence is a declaration of the seriousness of the matter, of the anguish. The magnitude of the loss of a friendship of more than 30 years has been unbearable. A true friendship that allowed for secrets, adventures, a shared professional family, concerts, road trips, dinners, late night phone calls, a mutual devotion to parenthood and all its attendant heartaches and joys, triumphs, disappointments, fear and rage. .

“Willie, I'm going to miss all of you. And I'm going to remember our last moments together, I'm going to reread every message from your final days and transcribe our last calls,” he added.

"Your absence is a crater," defined the actress, who then addressed her partner's son: "All my love and condolences to your dear Nathen: you were and you are the light of Willie's eyes and his greatest achievement was being your father".

The unforgettable role of Willie Garson in S-x and the City

Garson acted in 27 episodes of S-x and the City and participated in the 2008 and 2010 films. He was also part of the long-awaited continuation of the story And Just Like That ..., which will be a posthumous work of the actor.

In fiction, he gave life to one of the most beloved characters by fans: Stanford, a member of high society who knew all the secrets of Carrie Bradshaw, the protagonist played by Parker, whom he advised at all times.

“The S-x and the City family has lost one of their own. Our amazing Willie Garson," executive producer Michael Patrick King said in a statement. He then added, “His spirit and his dedication were present every day on the set of And Just Like That... He was there, giving us everything, even when he was sick. Everyone will miss his gifts as an actor and a person. In this sad and dark moment, we are comforted by the memory of his joy and his light.”
