The actress has stated that she is not very happy with the final montage of Spider-Man: Homecoming, and that is that she has not included a scene in which Aunt May and Peter Parker shared a strong emotional charge.
While speaking to The Huffington Post, the actress revealed, “I was really disappointed that scene wasn't in the movie. Peter was taking some of his ethics and morals from Aunt May because of that missing moment." It is common (perhaps too much so) that Marvel and the Hollywood industry in general, save some scenes to add them to the Blu-ray as an extra and unique complement for collectors, but for Tomei it was essential that it could be seen in theaters.

The actress has told how the scene was, something that today can even be considered a spoiler, right?: “In the scene something was happening in the neighborhood and there was a girl in danger. So I saved her. Peter would see me do that and take some of the ethics and morals of Spider-Man from Aunt May from him… So we'd go home and my character wouldn't mention what happened to him. And, of course, he was silent and kept quiet about many things that he wanted to tell me. At the end he asks me: 'How was the day?', And I answer that he had been fine. But I really felt shaken by what had happened in the neighborhood. The situation was awkward, both for me and for him. And we're both living in that house together. I was really disappointed that they removed this scene.”
