A wave knocked the model and actress off a rock on a beach in Aruba
Fashion shoots are almost never like the photos finally show. Retouching aside, there are often situations that cannot be controlled, especially when working outdoors. Sometimes, to get the desired photo you have to take certain risks. Just ask model and actress Kate Upton, 25, who was swept away by a wave during a photo shoot for 'Sport Illustrated' magazine on a beach in Aruba, in the Caribbean.
The video of the moment, which occurred last October, has gone viral. Upton was perched on a rock with her back to the sea when a wave broke over her. The video shows how the model unsuccessfully grabs one of the attendees of the session to avoid falling. Although the image is shocking, she was left alone in a fright.
"When the tulle skirt was wet, the weight dragged me down," explained the model, who was already the protagonist of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine in 2011 and who recently made headlines for declaring that she was harassed by the co-owner of Guess, Paul Marciando, for whom she worked for a few years as a brand image until she was relieved.
