Why Kaley Cuoco Was So Awkward In 'The Flight Attendant' S-x Scenes

Unfortunately, Kaley Cuoco had some problems when recording s-x scenes in her new series.

We all remember Kaley Cuoco, the renowned actress who played the role of Penny for 12 years on 'The Big Bang Theory,' becoming the only female lead until Mayim Bialik's Amy and Melissa Rauch's Bernadette became series regulars in season 4.

In more than a decade, the actress has devoted most of her time and effort to the CBS sitcom. Thankfully, after she finished 'The Big Bang Theory,' Cuoco successfully transitioned from the Pasadena set project to 'The Flight Attendant,' a new dark comedy thriller.

The series became an international critical success, with Cuoco even earning a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of her lead character, Cassie Bowden. But it turns out that the actress had some difficulty filming some of the s-x scenes that were seen on the small screen.

Why was Kaley Cuoco uncomfortable in the s-x scenes of 'The Flight Attendant'?

Based on Chris Bohjalian's novel of the same title, 'The Flight Attendant' centers on Cassie Bowden, an alcoholic flight attendant who, after meeting Alex Sokolov on one of her flights, the pair become romantically involved only for him to end up dead the next morning.

Appearing on This Morning, Huisman explained what it was like to film the s-x scenes with Cuoco, adding that it was "so awkward" for the actress since Cuoco had never filmed an intim-te moment on screen before this show:

Why Kaley Cuoco Was So Awkward In 'The Flight Attendant' S-x Scenes

"I guess that never happened on 'The Big Bang Theory,' so we were doing a pretty decent [scene], we kissed in bed, under the covers. We're doing our first scene like that and I realized I was like floating on top of me, I wasn't actually sitting on my legs.

Huisman went on to explain that Cuoco's position became awkward after a few takes and she was trying to understand why. Huisman added, "After taking three, she starts shaking a little bit and I'm like 'Kaley, what are you doing? Just sit down!' and it turned out that she was very uncomfortable and had no idea how to do this. She was trying not to touch me."

Always a talented performer, Cuoco's awkwardness is nowhere to be seen in the final product, and in fact, her performance on the show earned her a host of award nominations, including the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Critics' Choice Television Awards and the Golden Globes.

In any case, the actress has not spoken about it, but it is likely that she will do so soon to clarify the reason for her discomfort and her inexperience in this type of recording. For its part, HBO Max has confirmed that 'The Flight Attendant' will return for a second season that we hope will be an equally huge success.
